PINE Group collects and maintains personal data to assess the suitability of its candidates for a vacancy within the company or any of its subsidiaries, as well as to negotiate with and make offers of employment to selected applicants. Any personal data provided to us may be used by PINE to consider whether or not you are suitable for a position within the company.

If you are required to complete a job application form, certain information on the form is voluntary and will be stated as such. Compulsory information is required for selection purposes. If such information is not provided, it may affect the processing of your application.

Disclosure and transfer of personal data:

The personal data collected may be transferred within or outside Hong Kong to our subsidiaries, insurers or bankers, medical practices that provide medical coverage for employees or other persons who we consider appropriate in connection with the purposes mentioned above.

We may disclose the data when required by law or court order, or as requested by any government or law enforcement authorities, or in the good faith that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable including and without limitation to protect our rights or properties or in circumstances which we consider to be related to any of the purposes for which the data are collected.

Data retention and security:

We retain the personal data of unsuccessful applicants for a period of two years. Thereafter, the application, together with all material provided, will be confidentially disposed of. If an applicant accepts employment with us, the personal data contained in his/her application will be transferred to a personnel file.

Where personal data is stored electronically, it will be kept in a password-protected form. Personal data, whether stored in electronic form on computers or in hard-copy form, will be accessible only by authorized officers or employees of PINE Group. Persons designated by PINE to handle personal data will be made acquainted with this statement and told how to fulfill our obligations to you.
